The Footbridge Conference will take place for the 8th time in 2025 and will be held from 3 to 5 September in Chur, Switzerland. It offers an international platform for innovative bridge construction solutions and research results in the field of footbridges and cycle bridges. As part of this symposium, a special opportunity will be offered to students of civil engineering and architecture: the Student Design Competition (SDC-FC25). This competition is intended to enable young talents in the field of bridge design to demonstrate their skills and present themselves to a renowned audience of experts.
 

NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
This student competition is linked to an actual needs analysis for the construction of pedestrian and cycling bridges in two municipalities in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. The reference documents are therefore only available in German. However, participation by international students is possible, provided they can work with the materials as they are provided. Submissions of the participants’ own documents can be made in German, French, or English. In order to participate, international students should furthermore provide proof of enrolment in their respective degree program at the moment of submission.
